Here is my man...Top Gun.... Went to the Midway in San Diego California in Sept 2011 and had fun taking picture in the war room were the actual top gun pilots prepared the flight plan of the day or night. I think he looks rather handsome. It was a good trip...I got sick on the way home . This time it was an ear ache. In Ca we went to Coronado Island and rode bikes, went to La Jolla ...Dr Suess town. Eat some really good food, went for a moment to a Padre game, toured the midway. Walked all over the Gas lamp district

Here are the joy of my life. I have entered the holy of holy ...grandparenthood. These two little guys are the most wonderful things that have happened in our lives. Carson is now 10 months and running everywhere. Tyler says he runs a marathon everyday. He has taken his first step and has been to the hosp ER with a cut hand.

Carter is the studious ,quiet sweet guy that is slow to smile but LOVES his father. He likes balls and blowing bubbles. He likes his books at night. He is a good sleeper, eater and already the class favorite in mother's day out.

Yes had a dream come true. Kirby and I took 2 cooking classes at King Arthur Flour...Cream puffs and Pizza. It was a marvelous trip but I got sick the last day and 1/2. The food was marvelous and we learned alot. I learned that I should weigh my flour and ingredients. Stayed at some wonderful bed and breakfast places in New Hampshire.

Yes this summer was spent remodeling the bathrooms. What a mess. Honestly I quit trying to clean the house. There was dust and dirt everywhere. But the results are fantastic. I don't think I will miss this tile or toilet. I am really pleased with the outcome

We have hiked this trail in Colorado and have an aspen that we have carved our initials. Kind of fun to keep record of our trip. The first day of hiking we took the wrong fork in the road and walked 1/2 a day and didn't find our tree. The next hike we were smarter and took the right fork in the road. The creeks were flooded with all the snow melt and rain. The misquito's were fearce. We learned to keep moving or we would be eaten alive. Meanwhile back in Texas there has been a terrible drought.

The house was a wreck as we re-did the bathrooms.

Reflections 2011

2011 ...where do I begin . Febuary brought the arrival of another blessing to our lives ...Carter Lee Johnson. An amazing beautiful little boy. Carter is the son of Tyler and Mary Helen . Her is the spitting image of his mother but he smiles like his dad and loves balls like his dad. He has been s sweet mellow child from day one. He is now 8 months. He obserses life and doesn't rush into things.
March 4 th Eldo passed away. The events leading up to his death we truly holy. I got to clumsily talk to him about the saving grace of Christ, all of his sons were there, and his life was celebrated by the community.
The rest of the spring was spent in closing Eldo's affairs, selling the house, estate sale ...etc.
We have spent the summer traveling Colorado, Vermont, San Deigo, AZ and going back and forth to Dallas and Ft Worth.
This has been the hottest summer in Texas > 80 days with temperatures 100 and greater.
Tanner graduated from A&M and has a job with Goldman Sachsen. He is dating a lovely girl named Alita. He busy traveling and fishing.
Taylor is graduating in Dec this year and headed to nursing school. Not dating anyone right now. We are proud of her accomplishment and hard work.
Tara and Cody are coming to grips with the life changing realities of being parents. Carson is a busy little kid and full of mischief. He took his first steps this week.
